“As a member of the VoicesProductions team, I spent the summer of 2017 learning about Murals.  As a studio painter, I was urged and inspired to do one myself to better understand the process and for any further collaborations with mural artists in the future. The mural I called Hush of Heaven symbolically represents the space of peace and the decision for that quiet mind thats is available despite the clamoring daily distractions.  The spray paint can juxtaposes the label of street art with the classical and traditional effects it can bear as well as its rebellious ramifications to all things established.”

Hush of Heaven by PurlGur can be seen in the alley behind the Capri College building.
